The Age-old Academy of Uzbekistan
Uzbekistan's capital, Tashkent, is where the main campuses are situated. The Interuniversity Research Scientific Laboratory, 52 departments, six colleges, and the multidisciplinary clinic of the TMA are all parts of the Tashkent Medical Academy. In the cities of Urgench, Termez, and Fergana, three separate TMA chapters operate as autonomous organizations. To foster collaborations between prestigious higher education institutions in NIS countries and beyond, Tashkent Medical Academy has established ties with several international departments of education and research organizations. The WHO, MCI, and UNESCO all acknowledge the Academy.
The Order of the Red Banner of Labor, which is the labor equivalent of the Order of the Red Banner in the military, was given to the Tashkent Medical Institute in 1972. Once more, Times Higher Education (THE) named TMA as one of the top institutions in the world on April 22, 2020, awarding it a 301+ rating in the category of Medicine and Health Sciences out of 721 universities surveyed. The publication assessed the outcomes of activity statistical analysis, data audit, the findings of an annual worldwide survey of participants from the international academic community and employers, as well as the university's financial success.

Additionally, the activities of the Interuniversity Scientific Research Laboratory (IRSL) are intimately related to the research and educational efforts of the academic community. State financing used to carry out scientific directions is approved by the Committee for the Coordination of Development of Science and Technology, a division of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan. IRSL's acts are in accordance with the rules and legislation governing the functioning of research institutes.
